Foundations
4 Foundation piles, initially empty.
Tableau piles
52 Tableau piles. The piles are grouped in threes, with one pile partially covering the other two, except for the last pile which remains alone. The exposed piles contains 1 face-up card and the remaining piles contain 1 face-down card.

Foundations
- Build up in suit from Ace to King.
- Cards are moved individually.
Tableau piles
- Build down in alternating colors.
- Only cards from the face-up piles can be played.
- The top card of each pile can be played onto another tableau pile or onto the foundations.
- Sequences of cards (built down in alternating colors) may be moved as a unit from one pile to another.
- When a face-down card is exposed, it will automatically be turned face up.
- Empty piles cannot be filled with any card, except the last pile. The last pile can only be filled with a face-up King or with a sequence of cards (in descending order by alternating color) headed by a King.
