Foundations

  • Build up in suit from Ace to King.
  • Cards are moved individually.
  • Cards cannot be moved from the foundations.

Cells

  • Cells cannot contain more than 1 card.
  • Cards can be played onto the tableau piles or onto the foundations.
  • Empty cells can be filled with any exposed card.

Tableau piles

(FreeCell piles)

  • Build down in alternating colors.
  • The top card of each pile can be played onto another tableau pile, onto an empty cell or onto the foundations.
  • Sequences of cards (built down in alternating colors) may be moved as a unit from one pile to another if there are enough empty cells to allow moving the cards individually.
  • Empty piles can be filled with any exposed card, with a sequence of cards (built down in alternating colors) from the FreeCell piles if there are enough empty cells to allow moving the cards individually or with a group of cards (regardless of sequence) from the Scorpion piles.
  • In short, the FreeCell piles have the same building rules as in FreeCell solitaire.

(Scorpion piles)

  • Build down in suit.
  • The top card of each pile can be played onto another tableau pile, onto an empty cell or onto the foundations.
  • Groups of cards (regardless of sequence) may be moved as a unit from one pile to another.
  • Empty piles can only be filled with an exposed King, with a sequence of cards (built down in alternating colors) headed by a King from the FreeCell piles if there are enough empty cells to allow moving the cards individually, or with a group of cards (regardless of sequence) headed by a King from the Scorpion piles.
  • In short, the Scorpion piles have the same building rules as in Scorpion solitaire.
