4 Foundation piles, initially empty.

Tableau piles

18 Tableau piles. 17 piles contain 3 cards each and 1 pile contains 1 card. The top card of each pile is face up and the remaining cards are face down.

Foundations

• Build up in suit from Ace to King.
• Cards are moved individually.
• Cards cannot be moved from the foundations.

Tableau piles

• Build with cards of the same rank, up to a maximum of 3 consecutive cards of the same rank (“proil”).
• The top card of each pile can be played onto another tableau pile or onto the foundations.
• Empty piles cannot be filled with any card, except for the last pile, which can only be filled with a King.
